What is the optimal internet for livestreaming?A common question. It kind of depends on how much you are doing and what other devices are using the internet in your home. Satellite works great but it would be best to use a platform to download like PlayOn https://www.playon.tv/ to avoid latency issues; there are settings on the modem and account that can be utilized to optimize streaming as well as WiFi boosters and use of intermittent cabling. Wireless Internet / LTE is excellent for streaming TV and movies with high speeds and data packages. 😀 DSL is very reliable for Netflix, Amazon, Hulu but has limited location availability. 🙄

What is the recommended internet for gaming?Well, that depends on the type of gaming. If it is interactive gaming - then your best bet would be cable or fiber. Unfortunately, DSL/fiber/cable is only located close to or in town. 😐 We offer two Wireless plans that provide unlimited data with super-fast download/uploads. It works great rurally if it can be accessed from your location. If the gaming is not a video and interactive (with instant reactions from other sites in the world), it will work with Satellite. 🙂 Resource: https://www.reviews.org/internet-service/best-internet-gaming/

How about running a business from home or telecommuting? What works best? The answer rests on access, usage times, latency and security. a. If you perform a bit of video conferencing, the type of internet you choose will depend on latency factors. Satellite has latency issues that can be addressed with tweaking of the system. LTE / Wireless is excellent for video conferencing. b. Also, you may need or want a VPN or Static IP for your business. This works with DSL or Wireless, but with location and other usage expectations, may slow your system down. c. Your cell signal may not be stable enough at your location, so you may need a VOIP (voice over internet phone). This can easily be set up with your order. There are satellite business plans tailored for your needs. The LTE programs work well either business or residential. DSL works either way. But again is only available in town/near town. It is best to go over your location and internet needs to decide which options you will have access to and which of those options will service you best and most reliably. 😁 We are ready to set you up.
